Prof.Dr. M.S. Gowd

Dr. M.S. Gowd, Fellow American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, is a veteran in Dentistry, practicing for over 50 years at Hyderabad. He has several ‘firsts’ to his credit – The first dentist in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad to have introduced Lasers in Dentistry. The first dentist to be selected as the official dentist for the Governor of Andhra Pradesh (and a consultant for 17 years). The first dentist from Andhra Pradesh to serve as the President of Indian Prosthodontic Society. The first to start Cosmetic Dentistry in Andhra Pradesh in the year 1989 and made this stream of Dentistry the most sought-after treatments in Dentistry creating attractive smiles.
Performing cosmetic and maxillofacial surgeries regularly at facilities like Apollo Hospital, Dr. MS Gowd brings a rich experience of 50 years in practicing dentistry. He has seen several developments in dentistry from public awareness about dental care to new tools and technology, to cutting edge solutions and the introduction of cosmetic dentistry. In the last five decades of his practice, Dr. M.S. Gowd has had a stint of 22 years in the government and retired as the Dean of Army Dental College. He runs one of the most successful chains of dental clinics in Hyderabad by the name, Dr. Gowd’s Dental Hospitals with a team of highly qualified dentists and specialists.

Dr. M.S. Gowd began his practice with a small set up at Koti in Hyderabad, which has now expanded to five dental organizations spread across Hyderabad, with their head office located in Banjara hills. The prime objective of this expansion was to create and enhance smiles every day qualitatively and quantitatively, with a goal to provide you and your family with exceptional dental care. Dr. Gowds has developed an in-house state-of-the art laboratory with latest technologies including CAD/CAM to perform various treatment services including cosmetic dentistry (in Hyderabad, in 1989) invisalign, sedation dentistry, veneers, teeth whitening, dental implants, partial dentures, lumineers and more. He has authored a number of books in various languages on Dentistry to create awareness about oral health among the general public.
